Spheroidizing annealing is an annealing process to spheroidize carbide in steel.
Heat the steel to Ac1 above 20 to 30 °, heat preservation for a period of time, and then slowly cooling, get a uniform distribution on the body in ferrite nodular cargo granular carbides.
After steel is rolled and forged, the resulting structure is laminated pearlite and reticulated carburized. This kind of structure is hard and brittle, which is not only difficult to be machined, but also prone to deformation and cracking during subsequent quenching.The spheroidized structure is obtained by spheroidizing annealing, in which the carburized body is spherical granule and dispersed in ferrite matrix. Compared with the sheet pearlite, the carburized body has low hardness and is easy to be machined, and the austenite grains are not easy to grow up during quenching and heating, and the workpiece deformation and cracking tendency are small during cooling
